That said, knowing where to stream the channel online can get as confusing as tackling your house renovation plans.

Quick Answers: How to Watch HGTV Online

And if your last cable bill was higher than a Property Brothers penthouse loft, you might feel the need to DIY a streaming plan to keep the HGTV streaming going without the hefty price tag. Here’s your guide to stream your favorite HGTV shows online if you’ve said “it’s demo day” to your cable package.

How to Watch HGTV Online Without Cable

Ready to stream HGTV (and still afford your dream renovation)? Consider this your go-to plan.

Watch HGTV on DirecTV Stream

If you have DirecTV Stream, you can catch HGTV shows live or DVR them for later with any of the available subscription plans and start at $49.99 (plus tax) per month for your first three months. Try the service for five days free and peruse over 90 stations for live and on-demand on-demand entertainment, sports, and movie channels with the ability to choose an upgraded subscription for even more.

Watch HGTV on Philo

Another streaming service that carries HGTV is Philo. The streamer makes it easy to watch all your go-to HGTV shows live any time of day. Plans start at $28 a month, and include 70+ channels in its rotation. Unlike other streaming services, Philo also gets you access to stream AMC+ content, along with boasting a seven-day free trial.

Watch HGTV on Hulu + Live TV

Starting at $76.99 a month (with ads), Hulu + Live TV provides live and on-demand streaming of over 95 sports, news, and entertainment channels, including HGTV, plus shows like The Bear. With a subscription, a Hulu + TV plan also unlocks access to movies and documentaries, and you have the option to customize your plan with add-ons, available for an additional $7.99 a month. Better yet, you can score a three-day free trial before the monthly subscription starts.

Watch HGTV on Sling TV

Thrifty HGTV fans can tune into live shows on a budget with Sling TV. The service offers customizable, streamlined plans starting at $40 per month for the Orange plan (sports, entertainment, and family channels), $45 for the Blue (for local ABC, NBC, and CBS stations), and $60 for both (including 22 exclusive channels). Tailor your plan with additional sports, news, entertainment, kids, and more channels through Sling Extras. Right now, subscribers can get $25 off their first month of streaming.

How to Watch HGTV Shows On-Demand

Want to stream specific HGTV shows without cable? We’ve got you covered, below.

Watch HGTV Shows On-Demand on Paramount+

While HGTV’s live programming doesn’t stream on the service, some HGTV shows are available on-demand with Paramount+. Binge your favorite HGTV shows, old episodes of Fixer Upper, Property Brothers, Love It or List It, and House Hunters, along with other popular shows with a free 7-day trial of plans starting at $5.99 a month. Opt for a Showtime add-on to get live local channels, news, and sports, plus access to all Paramount+ Original series, like 1883, Paramount movies, and Showtime series, such as Yellowjackets.

That’s That Me Exclusive: Where to Buy Every Edition of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Album

That’s That Me Exclusive: Where to Buy Every Edition of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Album

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.

“I reckon it’s.. officially short n’ sweet month💋💋💋,” Sabrina Carpenter wrote online, weeks before dropping her highly anticipated new album. Fans can now pick up her sixth studio LP, Short n’ Sweet, online and on shelves now in a slew of exclusive vinyl variants. Staying true to its title, the 36-minute Short n’ Sweet includes tracks like “Taste,” Slim Pickins,” “Good Graces,” and, of course, “Please Please Please” and “Espresso.”

“This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” Carpenter wrote online after debuting the Short n’ Sweet album cover and title in June.

“Short, sweet, has made an extraordinary album,” Taylor Swift shared of Short n’ Sweeton Aug. 23 on her Instagram Stories with checkmarks by each line.

Carpenter, who will embark on a sold-out North American tour in support of the album later this year, has taken over our playlists this summer, with chart-topping hits “Please Please Please,” and the undeniably catchy “Espresso.” (“I decided to put that burden on other people,” Carpenter told Rolling Stone earlier this year.)

And while everyone from your uncle to your BFF quotes its chorus with lyrics like “that’s that me espresso” every time they enter the coffee shop, Carpenter somehow followed it up with an equally quotable Short n’ Sweet track (“please don’t embarrass me, motherf-cker”). The Jack Antonoff-produced “Please Please Please” has garnered over hundreds of millions of streams alone, and propelled Carpenter to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after it hit streaming services this summer.

“There’s like an Olivia Newton [John] feeling, there’s a Dolly feeling, there’s an incredibly super modern pop feeling,” Antonoff previously told Rolling Stone. “The little vocal runs she does are so bizarre and unique — they’re doing this really odd, classic, almost yodel-y country thing. She’s becoming one of the biggest young pop stars, and that song is such a statement of expressing yourself, not just lyrically, but sonically.”

If the tracks’ success are any indication, Carpenter’s new LP, Short N’ Sweet, is destined to become one of the biggest albums of 2024. Instead of releasing just one edition of her studio project, the “Espresso” hitmaker followed the lead of other pop superstars like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish and dropped several exclusive editions of the album.

Sabrina Carpenter Is Viscously Clever and Done With Love Triangles on ‘Short N’ Sweet’: 5 Takeaways

Sabrina Carpenter Is Viscously Clever and Done With Love Triangles on ‘Short N’ Sweet’: 5 Takeaways

After Sabrina Carpenter’s summer takeover with “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” the anticipation for Short n’ Sweet was at an all-time high. On her sixth album, the pop singer keeps the surprises coming as she delivers a masterclass in clever songwriting and hops between R&B and folk-pop with ease. Carpenter writes about the frustration of modern-day romance, all the while cementing herself as a pop classic. Here’s everything we gathered from the new project.

Please Please Please Don’t Underestimate Her Humor

Carpenter gave us a glimpse of her humor on singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” — she’s working late because she’s a singer; ceiling fans are a pretty great invention! But no one could have guessed how downright hilarious she is on Short n’ Sweet, delivering sugary quips like “The Lord forgot my gay awakenin’” (“Slim Pickins”) and “How’s the weather in your mother’s basement?” (“Needless to Say”). She’s also adorably nerdy, fretting about grammar (“This boy doesn’t even know/The difference between ‘there,’ ‘their’ and ‘they are!’”) and getting Shakespearian (“Where art thou? Why not uponeth me?”). On “Juno,” she even takes a subject as serious as pregnancy and twists it into a charming pop culture reference for the ages: “If you love me right, then who knows?/I might let you make me Juno.” It’s official: Do not underestimate Ms. Carpenter’s pen. — A.M.

RFK Jr. Suspends Campaign, Endorses Trump

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has suspended his 2024 presidential campaign, and according to a court filing in Pennsylvania on Friday will throw his weight behind former President Donald Trump.

Multiple news outlets reported on Wednesday that independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. was planning to drop out of the race and endorse Trump. He clarified at an event in Arizona on Friday that he is not terminating his campaign, only suspending it, and that his name will remain on the ballot in non-battleground states. He said that if enough people still vote for him and Trump and Kamala Harris tie in the Electoral College, he could still wind up in the White House.

The Chicks’ ‘Not Ready to Make Nice’ Has Somehow Become a MAGA Anthem on TikTok

The Chicks’ ‘Not Ready to Make Nice’ Has Somehow Become a MAGA Anthem on TikTok

One little funny/bizarre/horrifying thing about the internet is the way it offers up everything and, in doing so, makes it possible to strip anything of its history. But to paraphrase Kamala Harris, you didn’t just fall out of the coconut tree. “You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you” — wise words worth heeding, especially for all the Trump voters and conservatives making TikToks with the Chicks’ “Not Ready to Make Nice.”

Over the past month or so, “Not Ready to Make Nice” has become an unexpected MAGA anthem of sorts, meant to express a certain rage at liberals supposedly telling conservatives what to do all the time (the past few Supreme Court terms notwithstanding, apparently). Young women especially have taken the song as a way to push back against the possibility of Harris becoming the first female president.
