A new album from Jhayco is on the way. On Thursday night, the Puerto Rican star announced that he’ll be releasing his third album Le Clique: Vida Rockstar (X) on Sept. 6 — his first album in three years. The Puerto Rican star is also releasing a new single called “Passoa” tonight, alongside Kapo.
The album cover artwork shows Jhayco wearing a tanktop and rocking his signature bat wing jewelry while having “Rockstar O’s” cereal with two of his friends. The album announcement comes a few days before the singer’s performance at Baja Beach Fest in Rosarito this weekend. He’s also set to take to celebrate the LP with his U.S. Vida Rockstar tour in November.
“With this album, we mark a new stage not only in my career but also in our lives because you are not just my fans. You are my family,” he wrote on Instagram.
Jhayco co-wrote and recorded most of the record in studios across the world, joining musician friends in Paris, Madrid, Puerto Rico, Miami, and L.A. to record the LP, according to a press release. He has yet to announce the LP’s track list. The album will be available for pre-sale at 8 p.m.
The new album follows a handful of singles this year, including “3D” with Tivi Gunz and De La Rose, solo track “Torii,” and “KTM” with Bryan Myers and Luar La L. Last year, he released the smash “Holanda,” which has garnered over 338.5 million streams since it dropped in July 2023, and “Ex-Special” with Peso Pluma.
Jhayco last dropped an album in 2021, Timelezz, which included songs “Ley Seca” with Anuel AA and “En Mi Cuarto” with Skrillex, was certified platinum. The LP was his last project under Jhay Cortez, before he switched his branding to Jhayco. “My flow has evolved and I’m confident about it, so it’s a rebranding,” he said in 2022. “I wanted my brand to have its own lane.”
